La Souterraine; medieval center, with the heritage jewel of the city, the Notre-Dame church. Close to the church, the monumental Saint-Jean gate from the 13th century rises, a remnant of the old city wall.
Aubusson; Capital of the carpet industry and located on the banks of the River Creuse, the city of Aubusson offers its visitors an important architectural heritage that bears witness to its rich past.
Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat; located in the heart of the Vienne, on the way to Santiago de Compostela, is a charming medieval city that has preserved its rich architectural heritage. Through the squares and alleys, the walker will discover beautiful old houses and also a magnificent Romanesque collegiate from the 11th and 12th centuries, topped by a remarkable bell tower.
Gargilesse-Dampierre; Even today, the picturesque charm of the town attracts painters, sculptors and craftsmen, as evidenced by the workshops and galleries scattered throughout the village.
Saint-Benoit-du-Sault; Classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, the medieval town of Saint-Benoît-du-Sault is best discovered by strolling along the ramparts, the ramparts, the alley between old houses, the fortified gate, the belfry and the Romanesque church.
Argenton-sur-Creuse; Nicknamed the Venice of the Berry, the small town of Argenton-sur-Creuse has a picturesque character with typical old houses with galleries and balustrades that are reflected in the water of the Creuse.
Limoges; Capital of porcelain and the Limousin region, the city of Limoges has preserved beautiful witnesses of its past and its history of more than 2000 years.

NATUUR
Hiking
From the campsite, you can follow one of the three hiking trails around La Chapelle-Taillefert. These routes are between 5 and 16 km. It is of course also possible to follow one of the many other marked routes around Gueret. For a comprehensive overview, visit the Monts de Guerets site.
Bicycling
For the trained cyclist there are beautiful marked mountain bike trails in the area. The area is hilly, so take reasonable height differences into account, but this of course offers beautiful viewpoints and views. Look here for the 6 best cycling routes near the campsite. Etang de Courtille
This large lake, in the middle of Guéret, is a wonderful place to be on hot days. You can walk around the lake, but there are also various activities such as canoe, pedal boat, paddle, skate park, playgrounds, etc.
Parks and lakes
Val Maubrune is a versatile landscape garden. Via hiking trails you walk through the beautiful nature with a variety of types of plants and trees. Open in July and August from Friday to Monday from 2.30 pm to 7 pm. Lac de Vassiviere; at this gigantic lake of 1000 hectares with 45 km of shores, you can imagine yourself in ‘little Canada’.
Lac de Saint-Pardoux is an hour’s drive from the campsite. There’s plenty to do here to make a day out of it; swimming pool, climbing park, water skiing, sailing, or just lying on the beach or taking a walk.
